Angelina Jolie Breast Surgery, Abortion Doctor Awaits Penalty, Camilla Hall Expansion Underway

Actress Angelina Jolie (pictured) has revealed she has had both breasts removed in a double mastectomy. The decision on the surgery came after tests revealed she has the BRCA1 gene mutation and an 87% chance that she would get life threatening breast cancer. Jolie’s mother was killed by cancer at the age of 56. Jolie’s procedure required three rounds of surgery, finishing with reconstruction of her breasts on April 27th.

A Toms River father has been arrested and charged with endangerment in connection with the fatal shooting of a 6-year-old boy by his 4-year-old son. Anthony Senatore was arrested Monday night for having multiple unsecured weapons accessible to children. On April 8th, the Prosecutor's Office says the 4-year-old boy allegedly gained access to an unsecured .22 caliber rifle in Senatore’s bedroom and fired a single shot, striking his 6-year-old neighbor in the head. The popular DJ who was shot inside the Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream shop at 2nd and South Street over the weekend was found with a large amount of drugs in his apartment. Tom Watson, 36, also known as DJ Fenicx, was going to his apartment above the shop when he was murdered. Surveillance video shows Watson trying to fight off his attackers before he was shot. The jury in the capital murder trial against former Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell has reached a verdict. The jury has found Gosnell guilty of 3 of the 4 counts of first-degree murder for snipping the necks of babies born alive during abortion procedures. He was also found guilty of involuntary manslaughter of former patient Karnamaya Mongar after she was given a lethal dose of anesthesia.

Its the tenth day of deliberations for the jury in the trial of abortion Dr. Kermit Gosnell. The jury is reviewing evidence and testimony presented by the prosecution piece by piece. Gosnell did not testify in the trial, but the defense claims the babies were not born alive. Gosnell faces 5 counts of murder.

Gerald "Skip" Tyrone Murphy, a registered sex offender who barricaded himself for days in a South Trenton home with his girlfriend's three children, was shot to death Sunday as police rescued the captives and recovered the bodies of their mother and another sibling. An officer shot Murphy because he was threatening one of the children. Murphy was taken to a hospital and later died of his injuries.

Trenton Hostage Standoff Continues; Two Dead, Children still hostage on second day

A hostage standoff in Trenton, NJ has gone over 24 hours. Two people are dead inside the home on the 200 block of Grand Street and multiple children are being held hostage inside. It continues as of 8:00 pm Saturday.

UPDATE: Officers stormed the house at 3:45 a.m. on Sunday. The man was shot to death. Three children were rescued and two bodies were recovered.

Boat House Row activities are underway beginning two days of rowing events on the Schuylkill River with 128 colleges participating. This is the 75th anniversary of the Dad Vail in Philadelphia.
