New Jersey Governor Chris Christie had secret stomach surgery to help reduce his weight. Back in February, Christie underwent lap band surgery after checking in under a false name. In the surgery, a band is placed around the stomach to make him feel full after eating less food. So far, the Governor is said to have lost close to 50 pounds.

The husband of an elderly woman killed in Northeast Philadelphia early Monday morning has allegedly confessed and is being held in custody as a possible suspect in his wife's murder. Camden County officials are looking for the public's help in finding 2 missing children from Gloucester City. Brianna Giordano, 5, and Lee Giordano Jr., 2 were last seen with the father, 28-year-old Lee Giordano Sr., going out for ice cream on Sunday afternoon. Their mother reported them missing. A home invasion in the Lawncrest section of Northeast Philadelphia overnight left a woman dead and her husband hospitalized. The couple in their 70's was victimized around 2 am when intruders entered through a window and violently beat the man and woman before fleeing. Police have retrieved surveillance video from several neighboring businesses in hopes of identifying the intruders.

Diocese of Harrisburg officials say Bishop Joseph McFadden died of a heart attack last week after suddenly falling ill while attending a meeting of the Catholic Bishops of Pennsylvania. McFadden died unexpectedly Thursday morning at a hospital near Philadelphia. Officials say McFadden awoke feeling ill and was taken to a hospital. He was 65 years old.

Tens of Thousands of runners will hit Broad Street tomorrow morning heading from Olney to the Navy Yard in the ten mile Broad Street Run. Philadelphia City Council passed a bill 15-0 to allow advertising on city owned property. The next steps would be to determine which city properties and buildings would be appropriate for advertising. The Nutter administration would be in charge of signing a contract with a vendor that would manage the advertising. Police raided a strip club in Allentown and arrested 11 exotic dancers charged with soliciting prostitution. The Platinum Plus club is where undercover officers were offered sex acts for between $500 and $1000. The dancers were arraigned and released on $20,000 bail.

The British parent company of the PokerStars website says it still wants to buy an Atlantic City casino, even though a deal to obtain it fell through on Wednesday. The Rational Group said Thursday night it wants to try to save its deal to purchase The Atlantic Club Casino Hotel. The casino said Wednesday the purchase deal was dead, but declined to say why.
