Canada School Temple Owl Mascot; Main Line Man Shoots at Burglars; Andrew Bynam Flamenco Dance Video

Temple University has asked a Canadian high school to stop using an owl mascot logo that looks surprisingly like it's own. The school in Kelowna, British Columbia has agreed to change it's symbol. The high school's flying owl design is virtually identical to Temple's, save for a difference in color. Kelowna Secondary School began using the logo back in 2002 after Temple had trademarked it's image but the Philadelphia university only just found out about the problem. Temple's owl mascot... PA Woman Presumed Dead Lives in FL, Mob Boss Sues Feds for Blindness, Temple Pulls Boat House Plan

A Pennsylvania woman presumed dead, has turned up alive in Florida. Brenda Heist (pictured 2002 and today) of Lititz disappeared eleven years ago leaving a husband and 2 children, 8 and 11 years old. In 2010 she was legally declared dead and her husband remarried. Now, she says she just snapped in 2002 and walked away, hitch-hiked to Florida, ate from dumpsters and slept under bridges. Heist is not facing charges in PA and will move to Texas to live with her parents.

Brenda Heist, then 42, mysteriously disappeared 11 years ago after dropping her kids off at school. Dinner was found defrosting in the kitchen, laundry half done, her car found the next county over, and all her personal belongings left behind. Her husband eventually gave up and had her declared legally dead two years ago and remarried. Until now, when it turns out Heist, now 53, isn't dead and lives in Florida. Body found in Ocean City, NJ and identified as missing Sea Tow captain David McAuliffe

David McAuliffe, captain of a Sea Tow boat, was found dead earlier this morning around 6 a.m. The cause of his death was due to drowning. Once police arrived at the scene, they discovered that McAuliffe wasn’t wearing any life preserver or safety equipment. McAuliffe had been presumed lost since April 23rd, 2013. Police in Reading are searching for a suspect in a shocking crime last night after a worker at a corner store was doused with gasoline and set on fire. 32-year-old Joel Fontanez was working behind the counter at the Citi Sub & Grocery Store at 8pm when he was attacked. Firefighters responded to a call of a fire and found Fontanez in a gutter across the street. Investigators are looking for witnesses and the suspect. They do not know why he was attacked. Three More Suspects Taken into Custody in Boston Marathon Bombing

Three more suspects have been taken into custody in the Boston Marathon bombings. Boston police tweeted this morning that they have brought in three additional suspects in connection to the attack on Monday, April 15th when two bombs exploded near the finish line killing 3 and injuring more than 260 people.

Plan B Contraceptive OTC to 15 Year Old Girls, Camden County PD Begins, Broad Street Run Security

The FDA has approved over the counter sale of morning after contraception pills to girls as young as 15 years old. Girls will have to show proof of age ID but will not have to ask a pharmacist for it. The pill is intended to prevent pregnancy if taken within three days of unprotected sex.

Once the weather and the ground warm up, some parts of the Delaware Valley will see one of nature's spectacles - the mass emergence of a mess of periodical cicadas that have taken 17 years to mature. It looks as if the Magicicada swarms will be localized - and a lot depends on what's happened since their parents saw sunlight. Increased Security Broad Street Run; $15000 Reward Penn Wood High School Arson

There will be increased security at this weekend's Broad Street Run which stretches 10 miles from North Philly to the Navy Yard. Mayor Michael Nutter has promised that racers and spectators can expect a visible security presence. Racers picking up their race packets and bags will notice they are receiving clear bags instead of cloth to put their race day gear inside.
