Delaware Rapist Wanted, Point Breeze Shooting, Philadelphia Population Growth

Police in Delaware are searching for a man wanted for nearly 50 counts of rape. Police are investigating allegations made by a 16-year-old female, who said she had been raped by Wayne H. Thompson, Jr. multiple times over a four year period. The incidents apparently occurred while the girl was living with relatives in Mobile Gardens near Seaford.

Archdiocese: Girls Play Football, Mayor Nutter Booed Off Stage, Another Teacher Guilty at Triton

It is a new era. Boys and girls can play on the same football team. That’s the word from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. After a request from a sixth grade girl from Doylestown, Caroline Pla, the Catholic Youth Organization says it will allow co-ed football. The Archdiocese considered feedback from parents, pastors, players, sports medicine experts. Archbishop Chaput has given the girls the thumbs up.

Pope Francis started his first day in prayer and a planned Mass with the Cardinals at the Sistene Chapel. Here in America, Latinos are celebrating the first Latino Pope. He is the first pontiff from the America’s and the first from outside Europe in a thousand years. Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput is calling the selection of Pope Francis I a “wonderful choice.”

NJ Freeholders Prison Plans, Nutter New Budget Today, Gloucester Abducted Girl Found

Freeholders in Gloucester and Cumberland Counties have approved a regionalization plan that will, in effect, close the Gloucester County Prison. Male inmates will be housed in Cumberland and perhaps Salem County as soon as this summer. This move could save upwards of 10 million dollars a year.

Our new Pope is Argentine Cardinal Jose Mario Bergoglio (pictured). The South American has taken the name Pope Francis I. He is the first pontiff from the America's and the first from outside Europe in a thousand years. As he was introduced to an adoring crowd in St. Peter's Square, he offered prayers for his predecessor Pope Benedict XVI. The Pope then blessed the crowd and all men and women of goodwill.

New Pope Has Been Elected - White Smoke in Rome above Sistine Chapel (video)

We have a new Pope. At 2 o'clock this afternoon, our time, white smoke billowed from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel and the bells rung loudly indicating a new Pope received the necessary 77 votes from the 115 Cardinals gathered at the Papal Conclave. The new Pope will be introduced shortly to a crowd of thousands in St. Peter's Square.

Hackers have gathered personal information of 17 high profile celebrities including social security numbers, financial information, credit card numbers, mortgage amounts and unflattering photos. They all got posted on a website with the defunct Soviet Union suffix ".su" The victims included Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, Hilary Clinton, Sarah Palin, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kim Kardashian, Beyonce, Paris Hilton, Ashton Kutcher, Donald Trump, Mel Gibson and Britney Spears. Mayor Nutter delivers his new budget to City Council tomorrow morning. The city's two non-uniformed unions, District Councils 33 and 47, will be there at the budget speech to voice their displeasure with the long-stalled contract talks. Principal Facing Porn Charges; Black Smoke; Arcadia University President Fired, but Why?

A former Delaware County school principal faces charges today related to child pornography. Troy Czukoski, the former principal of Springton Lake Middle School is accused by the U.S. Attorney’s Office of having hundreds of images of child porn. Czukoski’s home was raided in October, after he had resigned from the school. He admits they are his and claims he is an adult survivor of childhood sex abuse. Czukoski could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

Former Miss Delaware Teen USA Melissa King (pictured) has had an arrest warrant for her recalled at the request of her lawyer. Miss King resigned her crown after a sex tape surfaced. The former beauty pageant winner was scheduled to appear in court April 22nd for allegedly stealing money from the cash box on a municipal bus in Ocean City, Maryland.
