Video of Violent Brawl at Cherry Hill Mall in New Jersey

A group of young people were caught on video Saturday night in a violent brawl inside the Cherry Hill Mall. The melee which looks to involve around 20 teenagers has been posted online. Police are hoping that the attackers will be identified by the public viewing the video. View video below

None of the injuries were serious but one of the victims was treated and released from JFK Medical Center.

Tires Slashed in West Philly, NHL Season Schedule, Philadelphia Steroid Cop Sentenced

Police in are investigating reports of 46 cars having their tires slashed in West Philadelphia. So far, 46 car owners have reported the vandalism that happened overnight on the 4900 to 5100 block of Hazel Avenue and on the 5300 block of Chancellor Street in West Philly. Police would like your help. Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia Police.

Girl Petitions CYO to Play Football, Marijuana Use in PA, Archdiocese Merging 6 Parishes

An 11 year old Bucks County girl is petitioning the Catholic Youth Organization in Philadelphia to allow her to play football. Caroline Pla has been playing football since she was 5 and had been on the Roman’s squad who was unaware of the “no girls allowed” rule. With the support of her mom and about 7,000 others, the CYO has decided to review the policy.

Philadelphia School Superintendent William Hite today presents his action plan to improve Philadelphia schools. His plan has two goals: improving academics and stabilizing finances. He says his academic targets include boosting the 57 percent high school graduation rate, and increasing the average SAT score to 1550 from 1100 now. Kansas City, here he comes. Andy Reid appears to be finishing up the final paperwork to be the next head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs fired their Coach Monday and later their General Manager clearing the way for Andy to name his own GM. Look for Reid to bring some of his favorite assistant coaches from the Eagles too, like Juan Castillo and Doug Pederson. The Kansas City Chiefs lost more games than the Eagles this year, finishing with a 2-14 record.

Congress votes today to approve a $9.7 billion bill to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. The money will replenish the National Flood Insurance Program. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie publicly criticized House Speaker John Boehner and Congress for postponing the vote so long. The vote on the remainder of the $60 billion relief bill has been put off until January 15th.

An accident in Bucks County left one person dead Thursday night. Investigators say a Jeep Cherokee struck a pedestrian on Route 13 near 4th Avenue in Bristol a little before 8 p.m. Authorities say the driver did stop at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Delaware National Guard Heads to Afghanistan, Girl Shot NY Eve Dies, Charges Dropped in El Shooting

A Delaware based National Guard unit is preparing to head for Afghanistan to train national security forces there. 120 members of the unit from Dealaware City will do a 12 month tour of duty relieving Montana's 44th Military Police Company in the training of Afghans in security operations. Governor Jack Markell and Jill Biden were on hand for the send-off ceremonies today.

Police in Limerick Township sent out a warning last night for parents to be on the lookout for candy that contains marijuana. In "weed candy", pot is ground very fine and mixed with a sugary glucose liquid which hardens into candy. Parents should be suspicious of unwrapped or rewrapped candy.

Seaside Heights Mayor Bill Akers says he is stunned that the $60 billion Sandy aid bill wasn't put up for a vote in the House of Representatives. He says fees brought in by tourism cover at least 70 percent of the borough's $12 million budget. Federal funds would help some displaced homeowners and help businesses build back inventory.
