| Temple University has settled with the U.S. Department of Education for $700,000 after it was accused of submitting falsified information to U.S. News & World Report to boost the rankings of the Fox School of Business and Management’s online MBA program. In the agreement, Temple admits no wrongdoing over the allegations and is absolved from any future civil suits from the education department. A 19-year-old was shot and killed inside a takeout restaurant in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood early Saturday morning, 12/5. It happened at the Natural Chinese and American takeout restaurant at North 8th Street and Lindley Avenue. The teen was shot several times in the chest, neck, and leg. Emily Weinman of Kensington will receive $325,000. The Atlantic County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund, which represented the city, approved the settlement.
