Temple University has settled with the U.S. Department of Education for $700,000 after it was accused of submitting falsified information to U.S. News & World Report to boost the rankings of the Fox School of Business and Management’s online MBA program. In the agreement, Temple admits no wrongdoing over the allegations and is absolved from any future civil suits from the education department. A 19-year-old was shot and killed inside a takeout restaurant in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood early Saturday morning, 12/5. It happened at the Natural Chinese and American takeout restaurant at North 8th Street and Lindley Avenue. The teen was shot several times in the chest, neck, and leg. He was taken to Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made. If you have any information, contact Philadelphia Police.

A man has been arrested in connection to a number of attempted kidnappings in PA and NJ. 58-year-old Kent William Powe was arrested on Thursday morning, 12/3, outside his home on the 200 block of Jackson Avenue in Collingdale, Delaware County. He is charged with attempted kidnapping, robbery, and other related charges. A father in Bucks County has been arrested after his 2-year-old died of an apparent gun shot wound to the head on Wednesday night, 12/2. 27-year-old Jorddan Thornton has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child in the death of Julius Thornton. The owner of a Plymouth Township, Montgomery County nail salon is being held for trial accused of sexually assaulting a minor. James Kit Vong is charged with aggravated indecent assault and other related charges. It happened in July at Artisan Nails on the 200 block of Ridge Pike in Conshohocken. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced two alternatives to the recommended 14-day quarantine after exposure to coronavirus COVID-19, on Wednesday, 12/2. The CDC still recommends a 14-day quarantine as the best way to prevent the spread of the disease. However, it now says self-isolation can be 10-days if the individual does not present any symptoms and 7-days if the individual also has a negative test. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court heard an appeal on Tuesday, 12/1, of the sexual assault conviction of Bill Cosby. The 83-year-old entertainer has served two years of a 3-10 year sentence. The proceedings were held online and Cosby was not present. At question was trial Judge Steven T. O'Neill's decision to allow five other women testify about their alleged assaults at the hands of Cosby. A Philadelphia woman has settled a federal civil lawsuit against the city of Wildwood after a violent beach arrest on Memorial Day weekend in 2018. Emily Weinman of Kensington will receive $325,000. The Atlantic County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund, which represented the city, approved the settlement. The incident happened on Saturday, May 26, 2018, on the beach in Wildwood. President-elect Joe Biden fractured his right foot on Saturday, 11/28, while playing with one of his dogs. It was initially thought to be a sprain. He went to Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists in Newark, Delaware, on Sunday, 11/29. Initial X-rays did not reveal any obvious fracture, but a subsequent CT scan found two tiny fracture of two small bones in the middle of the foot.
