Today, 11/28, is Small Business Saturday, and it is more important than ever to shop local and support your neighborhood businesses. The day was started in 2010 during the previous recession as a way to focus holiday shoppers' spending on their own communities and help the economic recovery. The current coronavirus COVID-19 economic crisis has put many of our neighborhood businesses on the brink of closing. Philadelphia Police have arrested a man for stalking and harassing multiple women on several different occasions on the streets in Old City. 32-year-old Steve Ditty is charged with stalking, simple assault and harassment. A Pennsylvania appeals court judge ordered state officials to halt any further certification of election results on Wednesday, 11/25. Commonwealth Court Judge Patricia McCullough ordered the stoppage "to the extent that there remains any further action to perfect the certification of the results." Abington Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting outside of the Willow Grove Mall last weekend. 18-year-old Heyzer Perez-Maldonado of Philadelphia has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and carrying a firearm without a license.
