Philadelphia police have arrested a man after they say he held a 63 year old man captive in his basement for four months. Dwayne Young held the victim against his will, stealing his monthly social security checks. Further details regarding this case were not immediately released. Authorities are investigating.

Mayor Michael Nutter is in Charlotte, NC, for the Democratic National Convention. Nutter, who is the President of the United States Conference of Mayors, is just one of a many US mayors in attendance. He is expected to take the podium Thursday night. The mayor is paying for his trip using his campaign funds, however, 5 staff members (3 police security officers and 2 personal aides) are being sent along at the expense of the Philadelphia taxpayers. Abducted Boy Found, Made In America Clean Up, Penn State Pays $17 Million So Far

The two year old boy abducted in Upper Dublin Township at gunpoint last night has been found safe and the Amber Alert was cancelled this morning. Three armed men took Tymire Dior Smith after attacking his father and stole a car. The boy was found wandering around 66th and Malvern and taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Kimmel Center Opens Renovated Rooftop Garden; Camden Court Holds Child Slasher on $5 Million Bail

The Kimmel Center opened it's renovated Dorrance Hamilton Rooftop Garden today. The 6,200 sq-ft space sits atop the Perelman Theater. The glass encased hall underwent $6 million in renovations to make it usable throughout the year. During the months from May-October it would just become too hot high up in the atrium, and event noise from the 200 person private room would leak out into the performance halls below. Middle Township Officer Found Floating Off Wildwood, Osvaldo Rivera Held On $5 Million Bail

Police have confirmed that a body found floating off the coast of Wildwood on Sunday is in fact a missing Middle Township police officer, Jason Sill. He was deemed missing after the Coast Guard found his unoccupied boat floating one mile off of the Wildwood coast on Monday, Aug. 27th. On Sunday, Sept. 2nd, the body of a deceased male was found floating about 6 miles off the coast of Wildwood. A tattoo located on it appeared to match the tattoo reported to be on Jason Sill.

Police are investigating a homicide that left a man dead in the Bella Vista section of South Philadelphia Tuesday morning. The shooting took place near 12th and Bainbridge Streets. The victim, a 24 year old man, was found in the middle of the street with a gunshot wound to the head. Neighbors say the victim is from the neighborhood.

Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a Montgomery County home Monday afternoon. Four black males entered a home in the West Ambler section of Whitpain Township. The suspects, who were wearing ski masks, held the residents at gunpoint while they stole money and jewelry.

Sunday broke on the Parkway to cloudy skies and intermittent rain showers, but that didn't damper the spirits of the fans who were ready to tackle the second day of the Made in America Festival. The Budweiser Made in America Festival is here and ready to go, but if you are looking for some last minute information here are the answers to some questions about public transit, road closures, the schedule, even a video stream so you can just stay at home.
