Funnel Cloud Over New Jersey Graduation, Philadelphia Bike Lanes, Clergy Abuse Jury Pause

A frightening low funnel like cloud developed at the outdoor graduation ceremonies at Absegami High School in Galloway Township last evening. Everyone had received their diplomas as the tornado-like cloud appeared on the school's football field. Most ran for cover from the high winds, lightning, hail and rain. Only minor injuries were reported. The cloud was not a tornado, there was no rotation. It was a wall cloud, which can be produced by thunderstorms, and do sometimes turn into tornados.... Bob Welch Commits Suicide, Rally for Religious Freedom, Teens Prefer Pot over Cigarettes

Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Bob Welch is dead. Welch died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest at his home in Nashville. Bob Welch also enjoyed a solo career that included hits, Sentimental Lady in 1977 and Ebony Eyes in 1978. Welch left a suicide note and had been dealing with health issue

Jurors in the clergy abuse case against two Archdiocese of Philadelphia priests are gearing up for a long deliberation. They first entered the jury room with the case in their hands last Friday afternoon and have since sent back inquiries on legal guidance as well as additional evidence. Today they asked Judge M. Teresa Sarmina if they could have off tomorrow and return late Monday, cuting family obligations, such as graduations. Next week they will also have off Wednesday and Friday. This jury... Some of the events have been announced for this year's "Wawa Welcome America" celebration, during the days surrounding America's birthday on July 4th.

'Taste of Philadelphia,' "kicks off June 29th and goes through until Sunday, July 1st." Sunday, July 1st, will also be "Gospel Day" on Penn's Landing. Clergy Abuse Tab Over $11 Million, Neshaminy Teacher Strike, Babysitter Murder Trial

Archbishop Charles Chaput estimates that the Archdiocese of Philadelphia has spent more than $11 million on the ongoing clergy abuse crisis and that does not include the trial of Monsignor William Lynn. Chaput stressed that the money to pay the bills will come from the sale of excess property owned by the archdiocese.

Grizzly Bear announces new Album and releases first track

Brooklyn's Grizzly Bear have announced the follow up album to 2009's breakout Veckatimest. The yet untitled release will be available September 16th. This will be the band's fourth. The first track released, called "Sleeping Ute", has a comparatively complex sound for the indie rockers to previous work.

East Goshen Burglar Arrest, Miss PA USA 2012 Quits, Barking Bachelorette

Westtown-East Goshen police have arrested a man after he allegedly broke into a home in East Goshen Township. A resident reported that she had been in her bedroom when a black male entered her house before fleeing on foot.

Police searched the area and found an unsecured residence, where they discovered the suspect concealed under articles inside a basement closet.
