48 SEPTA workers are overnight millionaires. They hit the Powerball jackpot yesterday. They work in various departments at SEPTA headquarters and prefer to remain anonymous for now. Each will receive about $2 million from the payout.

Tacony Crash Kills Two, Delco Man Arrested For Facebook Photos, SEPTA Lottery Winners

A driver is facing DUI charges after a crash that killed two people in the city's Tacony section Thursday morning. A Camaro struck a second car, sending both vehicles onto the sidewalk. The vehicle that was struck caught fire, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

$172.7 Million Powerball Won by SEPTA workers, Police Text Tip line, Tire Slasher Bail at $270,00

The $172.7 million Powerball jackpot from 4/25/12 was sold at a newsstand in The Gallery at Market East in Philadelphia. The winner? Well it's actually winners. The ticket belongs to a group of SEPTA transit workers consisting of about 40 members. The co-workers buy tickets together all the time and work on the same floor. Happy hour is going to be fun tonight! The winning numbers were 04-25-29-34-43, plus the red Powerball, 29.

Bruce Springsteen to Play Citizen's Bank Park Labor Day Weekend; Not Revel in Atlantic City

Bruce Springsteen has added a few more North American shows to his "Wrecking Ball" tour for this fall. This includes a September 2nd date at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia over Labor Day weekend.

He'll also be playing in Boston, Washington, DC, Chicago, and East Rutherford, NJ.

The Mayfair Tire slasher has been arrested. David Toledo, the man who claimed to be on the Town Watch force, and who himself had his tires slashed, apparently did it all himself. Police say Toledo has a history of being a trouble maker and now is accused of slashing tires on 55 cars.

Philadelphia police say they have the person behind the Northeast Philadelphia tire slashings. David Toledo of Mayfair faces two counts of felony Criminal mischief, 47 counts of criminal mischief and other counts, including providing false reports to police, they even say he slashed his own tires and reported that.

Police in Northeast Philadelphia have arrested a suspect, David Toledo, who lives on Aldine Street in Mayfair. That is the same street that bore the brunt of the attacks. David also belongs to the Aldine/Teesdale block watch group that was setup after the rash of attacks began. Toledo himself reported acts of tire vandalism to his own car and his wife's vehicle to the police, and talked to several media outlets during coverage of the attacks about being terrorized by the slasher and not knowing... It seems like the wild animals have gotten spring fever. Upper Darby is on the lookout for a raccoon who bit a 15 year old girl on the leg. The victim was staying overnight at her boyfriend's parents' and woke to use the bathroom when the raccoon who had climbed in the house bit her on the leg and ran. The Teachers Union is not responding positively to the Philadelphia School District's plan to close 64 public schools over the next 5 years. According the District Chief Recovery Officer, Tom Knudsen, the closures will quickly save the city $33 million and a billion dollars in the long run.
