The Flyers head into Pittsburg tonight to close out the series in game 5 with the Penguins. Head Coach Peter Laviolette says Ilya Bryzgalov will be in the net as the Flyers try to bounce back from the 10-3 loss in game 4. Defenseman Nick Grossman is injured and will not play.

Police have arrested a 27-year old Philadelphia man in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in an Upper Darby Barbershop Wednesday afternoon. The incident appears to have been the result of a love triangle. Sharif Wynn was taken into custody just one day after Wynn walked into a barber shop, pointed a gun at barber Michael Turner’s head and demanded money, claiming he went there to scare the victim.

Levon Helm, singer and drummer for The Band lost his battle with throat cancer today. According to family he passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. As a member of The Band, Helm was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and also received the Grammys' lifetime achievement award. Dick Clark passed away yesterday of a massive heart attack. Early in his career, Dick Clark was a disc jockey on Philadelphia radio station WFIL and skyrocketed to stardom when he became the full time host of the Philadelphia based TV show Bandstand in 1952. Television and radio personality Dick Clark died Wednesday following a massive heart attack. Clark first rose to prominence back in the 1950s as host of "American Bandstand." The afternoon dance show first aired in Philadelphia before going nationwide. Dick Clark died at the age of 82.

Penn Offering Free Online Courses, Injured Firefighter Patrick Nally Comes Home

The University of Pennsylvania is joining several other top universities, including Princeton and Stanford, in offering courses for free online. Starting this June, Penn will begin to offer twelve courses in various subjects including calculus, neurology, and Greek and Roman mythology. The courses will not earn you credit toward a degree, but you still get full benefit of the education, which is priceless and of course free.

A major child pornography bust in New Jersey has resulted in the arrests of 27 suspects. Following a three month investigation, law enforcement officials executed search warrants in 26 different towns across New Jersey. All 27 suspects have been charged with Distribution and Possession of Child Pornography, while some are facing additional charges.

27 people in New Jersey have been arrested in association with a child pornography ring, New Jersey State Police announced today. A three month long investigation and 5 day long sweep called "Operation Watchdog" rounded up the suspects in twenty-six towns all across the state, half of them in South Jersey between April 9th and April 13th. Archdiocese Closing Seven Parishes, Gay Lesbian Senior Housing Project, Flyers Could Sweep Pens

The Philadelphia Archdiocese has announced it will close seven parishes in Northwest Philadelphia and Coatesville. The closings were announced at Mass, Sunday, but the archdiocese says parishioners were sent letters earlier so they were prepared. They include St. Francis of Assisi and Immaculate Conception in Germantown as well as St. Josephat, St. Lucy and St. Mary of the Assumption in Manayunk.
