Prince Edward, Queen Elizabeth II's youngest son, is coming to the Philly on April 26 and 27. He'll be in town for a series of events marking his mother's 60 years on the British throne. He'll meet with students at Girard College, Science Leadership Academy and Valley Forge Military Academy who've been honored by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award program. Councilman Kenney's $29k Twitter Help, Estrogen Cancer Link, Romney Lead Widens

Would you pay someone to Tweet for you? According to Philly.com, Phialdelphia City Councilman Jim Kenney paid a PR firm $29,000 in taxpayer money. No other Council member uses an outside contractor for Twitter help. And Kenney already has one of the priciest staffs on Council including 10 staff totalling $654,000 in salaries.

Virgin Mary Returns to Camden, PHL Airport Suspect Out, Romney Closes on Nomination

The Virgin Mary is overlooking Camden again. The statue of the Blessed Mother atop Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital was damaged when an earthquake shook the Philadelphia region last August. Yesterday, cranes lifted the statue back into place, where she has stood for over 60 years.

The man arrested at Philly airport at security last week with explosives has been released on house arrest. Joseph Picklo of Dallas, PA also tested positive for drugs and will have to wear an ankle... Read More

April is Jazz Appreciation Month in Philly

Jazz Appreciation Month is set aside every April "to draw greater public attention to the extraordinary heritage and history of jazz and its importance as an American cultural heritage. In addition, JAM is intended to stimulate the current jazz scene and encourage people of all ages to participate in jazz". It was started in 2002 by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. This marks the second year that Philadelphia is officially joining in JAM activities.

Virgin Mary tops Lourdes Hospital Camden, Mumia Abu-Jamal Appeal Denied, Battleship New Jersey Rally

Today crews lifted the top three sections of the statue of the Virgin Mary back on top of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. The statue has stood atop the hospital for more than six decades but was damaged last August by the unusual earthquake felt up and down the east coast. It was brought down by crane in November when cracks were discovered. $65,000 in funds were raised to cover the insurance deductible from all across Camden. Firefighters Deliver Baby, Sunoco Bidders May Save Jobs, Philadelphia County Unhealthiest in PA

A group of Philadelphia firefighters came to the rescue of a pregnant woman and husband who could not make it to the hospital for their baby's delivery. The crew from Engine Company 58 delivered the baby in the back seat of John and Natalie Bojanowski's Hyundai right outside the firehouse. Mom and baby were taken to Holy Redeemer Hospital where they are doing just fine.

The Humane Society of the United States has released a 30-second video public service announcement featuring Michael Vick that urges viewers to report animal cruelty and fighting activities to its toll-free animal fighting tip line.
