Pennsylvania Voter ID Law Passes

Pennsylvania's House of Representatives voted to pass the bill that will enact one of the nation's toughest photo identification laws for voters. The vote was 104-88 mainly along partisan lines. Gov. Tom Corbett said he would sign it into law immediately.

$7,500 Reward for Northeast Philly Tire Slashers

A $7,500 reward is being offered for the arrest of whoever is responsible for slicing the tires of at least 55 cars in Northeast Philadelphia this winter since December. Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey vowed to step up the hunt for the vandal or vandals during a visit to a Holmesburg today where at least eight vehicles had been slashed overnight.

A suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of famed Bucks County guitarist and songwriter Danny DeGennaro .

Bristol Township Police Chief James McAndrew and Bucks County District Attornrey David Heckler announced that a woman, Danasia Bakr, had been arrested and was scheduled to be arraigned at 2 p.m. Tuesday by District Justice Robert Wagner Jr.

Penn State Trustees say Paterno fired for "failure of leadership"

The Penn State Board of Trustees released a statement Monday explaining their reasons for firing the late head football coach Joe Paterno last November. They cited a "failure of leadership" for his actions following the reported sex assault involving former assistant Jerry Sandusky back in 2002. Starting Thursday, if you are texting while driving then you could be pulled over for violating the new PA No Texting law.

Basically, "texting" involves reading, writing, or sending any text-based message from any sort of wireless device such as a phone, laptop, PDA, etc. The text message could be a regular SMS text, an IM, or an email. Every four years we get to add a day to the end of February. The 29th day of February is needed so that our calendar year can stay synchronized with the astronomical or seasonal year. The seasons and astronomical events don't repeat in a whole number of days, so we need to readjust our calendar to line up with our place in the sky. Former Dismissed Teacher Sets off Lock Down at Cardinal O'Hara After He Trespasses In Building

Today, students, teachers and parents got a scare when a former teacher at Cardinal O'Hara was seen trespassing in the building during school hours today. School officials had escorted him from the building at 10:55 a.m. only to find that at 11:38 he had returned. The second time, he was seen in the school gym by another teacher, a former colleague, and fled.
