Central Bucks English teacher Suspended

A Central Bucks English teacher has been suspended pending investigation after a parent complained about her blog postings where she complained about her students. She used comments such as, "Frightfully dim," "Rat-like," "Seems smarter than she actually is." to describe some of her students. She also wished she could add "lazy", "sneaky" and "rude" to the canned report card comments teachers can choose from. She never named specfic students. Her blog has since been taken down.

This is good news for anyone in the Philadelphia area who needs income and a positive sign for the economy. Home Depot says sales are up for the first time since 2006.

Some feel those in charge here in Philly are guilty of sweeping these incidents under the carpet by continuing to move priests from parish to parish knowing more children could be at risk of abuse. Ed Rendell announces he and his wife Midge are calling it quits after 40 years of marriage. Calling it an amicable split, are not planning to divorce, and will likely be seen in public together. Midge is expected to remain in the couple's East Falls home while the former governor lives elsewhere.

Train tracks filled with money coming to Philadelphia. Vice President Joe Biden in Philly making the announcement from 30th St station. The Obama administration plans to spend $53 billion over six years to develop a national and intercity high-speed passenger rail network. If Congress approves the plan, funding would go toward developing or improving trains that travel up to 250 miles per hour, and connecting existing rail lines to new projects.

Lots of talk about the Upper Darby students bullying story.
The story went national and got the victim a guest spot on The View, along with special guest, Philadelphia Eagle, Desean Jacskon, and Desean brought along one of his jerseys to give to the victim. But the media’s only covering part of the story.

Upper Darby police have arrested the 6 high school students caught on video bullying a 13 year old middle school student. The video shows the victim being kicked and hung from a fence by his coat by the 6 attackers. Riots are erupting in the streets of Cairo, Egypt as thousands of protesters revolt against the 30-year rule of President Hosni Mubarak. The Ride The Ducks won't be floating down the Schuylkill River this spring. They were denied the contract proposal to operate their tour boats on the river for a variety of reasons.
