Dave Grohl told fans at the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, New York City on Saturday, September 29th that he didn't know when the band would play together again, but that they were going to be taking a break for a while.

Dave Matthews Band just announced their 2012 Winter Tour. They'll hit the road in support of their brand new album Away From The World which is currently #1 in the US! The East Coast tour starts November 30th and finishes December 22nd right here in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center. Tickets go on sale to the public on October 19th.

Haverford Music Festival took place September 15th at Darby and Eagle Roads in Havertown. Nearly 15,000 people attended the festival which was spread out over 3 stages of music. Rocker Patti Smith has been named the 2013 recipient of the Katharine Hepburn Medal from Bryn Mawr College. She will be presented with the award at a gala event on February 13th 2013. Smith was a trailblazer in the world of rock dominated by men. Her 1975 debut Horses is still rated as one of the best of all time. Tha 2nd Annual Haverford Music Festival drew 15,000 this year on a picture perfect day Saturday.
