started: 10/21/13 4:48 pm | updated: 10/21/13 4:48 pm

Finally, Hall and Oates have been nominated to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I have been disappointed for years at who has not been nominated. I do not in any way begrudge those that have been nominated and inducted. Hall and Oates are to me the quintessential Philly soul group. They are the top of the blue eyed soul genre as well as being the top selling duo of all time. I have seen them live many times and marvel at their showmanship. If you have not heard or seen the... The shading of a penumbral lunar eclipse can be subtle and hard to see as opposed to a umbral eclipse which is a dark shadow... Read More

SHEL and The Sea The Sea perform at the Burlap and Bean

  by: JoeS - Springfield, PA
started: 10/17/13 6:45 pm | updated: 10/17/13 6:45 pm

The Burlap and Bean is for me a new place to enjoy live music. Though it has been an established venue for some time, this was my first but not my last visit, as they say in OZ, “there is no place like close to home.” The venue is on Providence Rd. in the Shops at Springton Pointe. Burlap and Bean is primarily a fine coffee shop, a gathering place and a bakery/restaurant. The coffee and bakery items are just delicious and the atmosphere informal and friendly. On Saturday night, a... Read More
