A 44-year-old man is in custody after intentionally running over a group of people in North Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon, 4/16. It happened just before 4 p.m. at 16th and Lehigh Avenue. After an altercation, the man tried to hit people while driving a Buick Century. Three men and three women were injured, ages 17 to 42 years old. 28-year-old Kate McClure was in a New Jersey courtroom on Monday to enter a guilty plea and admit to her role in the $400,000 GoFundMe scam. She was charged with 2nd-degree theft by deception and will face 4 years in prison when sentenced in June. She has also pled guilty to a federal charge of wire fraud charge, but has not yet been sentenced. Both state and federal sentences will run concurrently. The Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, continues to burn this evening in the City of Lights. The fire broke out around 6:50 p.m. local time near the roof and quickly spread. Notre Dame was not only a significant Catholic house of worship but also a magnificent architectural marvel visited by millions worldwide every year. It also housed invaluable artworks and artifacts. A large fire destroyed a New Jersey boardwalk cafe near Asbury Park on Saturday, 4/13. It started around 11:30 a.m. at the Dunes Boardwalk Cafe at 4 North End Boardwalk in Ocean Grove. The building houses several businesses and would have opened for the season in May. The roof collapsed at 2 p.m. and firefighters were still putting out hot spots into Saturday night. Bucks Cop's Shooting Was 'Excused'; Mantua Trash Trucks on Fire; Suspect in Mechanic Shooting

On Friday, 4/11, Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub announced that a police officer will not face criminal charges after shooting suspect in custody last month. Weintraub wrote in a letter to New Hope Police Chief Michael Cummings, "After careful consideration, I have determined that [the officer's] shooting of arrestee Brian Riling on March 3, 2019, was neither justified, nor criminal, but was excused." An employee of a bank in Evesham Township, New Jersey, was arrested for secretly recording women in the bathroom. 35-year-old Larry Tucker Jr. is charged with third-degree invasion of privacy. The incident happened on Dec. 27 at the Citizens Bank located at 791 E. Route 70. A female customer found a cell phone in an envelope that had been placed inside the women's restroom. A woman stole a city-owned truck and took it for a joy ride on Tuesday night, 4/9. 33-year-old Amanda Bonner was arrested and charged with third degree theft, unlawful taking; third degree theft, receiving stolen property; and a second-degree misdemeanor count of unauthorized use of an automobile. Police in Montgomery County have arrested two Pottstown teens for shooting at the home of a middle school girl's family. 19-year-olds Ahnile Fountain and Makael Bevins, both of Pottstown, are charged with attempted murder, firearms violations, and related offenses.
