Two gunmen fired dozens of shots at an SUV carrying a family as it tried to escape last night in Southwest Philadelphia. Police arrived to find the vehicle flipped on it's side, but the occupants were all OK. It happened just before 6:30 p.m. on the 6600 block of Upland Street. A suspect is in custody after a fatal stabbing on a SEPTA subway concourse in Center City the day after SEPTA Transit Police went on strike. It happened on Thursday, 3/7, around 6:30 a.m. on the underground concourse at Broad and Spruce Streets near the Walnut-Locust station. Homeless veteran Johnny Bobbitt and Kate McClure pled guilty on Wednesday, 3/6, to federal charges that they, along with McClure's ex-boyfriend Mark D'Amico, concocted a 'feel good' story to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars from the public in a GoFundMe scam. Bobbitt pled guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering and faces 10 years in prison. McClure pled guilty to wire fraud conspiracy and faces 20 years in prison. SEPTA Transit Police officers went on strike Wednesday afternoon, 3/6, at 3:30 p.m. after contract negotiations between the union and transit agency broke down. Fraternal Order of Transit Police Lodge 109 represents 178 SEPTA Police officers. They have been working without a contract since March 2018. The Philadelphia Police Department and the Willingboro Police Department are searching for a missing Uber driver. 52-year-old James Benjamin Carter Jr. was last seen by his son on Monday, February 25th. Uber says that he dropped off a passenger at 5:15 p.m. February 27th on the 4900 block of Spruce Street and then deactivated the Uber app. His cell phone is either off or out of battery. Two Bucks County teenagers were killed in a car crash during Sunday night's snow storm. 18-year-old Michelle Goodwin of Pennsburg and 18-year-old Daniel Pierson of Red Hill got off work at 5 p.m. at the Dairy Queen in Pennsburg. Their 17-year-old friend came in his 1995 Ford pickup truck to give them a ride to go out to dinner. Rain or Snow will start to fall from SW to NE in the mid afternoon Sunday. It will be all snow N and W totaling 6-8 inches.
