The Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board has determined that Bill Cosby should be considered a sexually violent predator. The Montgomery County District Attorney's office has requested a hearing on the report so a judge can decide if Cosby will be classified as a sexually violent predator. The 81-year-old was convicted on April 26th on sexual assault charges. He is already required to register as an offender, but this classification increases treatment in prison and heightens... Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and representatives for hip hop mogul Jay-Z's ROC Nation met today following fallout from last week's media fiasco surrounding the future of the Made in America festival in Philadelphia. They have both agreed to continue to host the Made in America Festival here in Philadelphia on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in 2019+.

A mother was killed and her two daughters injured when their house collapsed in Mercer County on Monday morning, 7/23. It happened around 7 a.m. on the 1800 block of South Broad Street in Hamilton Township. 38-year-old Tika Justice was killed in the collapse. Rescuers found her 16-year-old daughter buried beneath her mother. Her 20-year-old daughter was found buried waist deep in debris. She was on the phone calling 911 and talking to dispatch. The Cumberland County Prosecutor's office has released police body cam footage from last weekend's fatal encounter between Vineland police and a suspect outside a home (see video below). It happened on Saturday, July 14th on Wood Street near Northwest Boulevard. Philadelphia Police have released surveillance video of a road rage shooting in Northeast Philadelphia earlier this month. It happened around 8:30 p.m. on July 3rd on the 2600 block of Cottman Ave. near the Roosevelt Mall. The victim is a 22-year-old male. PA Supreme Court Uphold Soda Tax; Body Found in Plastic in Fairmount; Couple Charged in Baby's Death

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled in favor of the City of Philadelphia and upheld the city's tax on sweetened beverages. The so called 'Soda Tax' is 1.5 cents/ounce. The beverage industry argued that the tax is in violation of the 1932 Sterling Act that gave Philadelphia its own tax authority, but also prohibits it from taxing anything already taxed by the state. 9 PA Casinos Apply For Internet Gaming License; Remains Found in Suitcase; Kids Shot N. Philly

Nine of Pennsylvania's 13 casinos have applied for licenses to operate online casinos and internet gambling. All four Philadelphia-area casinos have applied. The deadline was on Monday, 7/16. It will cost them each $10 million. The other four still have 30-days to decide, but it was cost $12 million.
