Philadelphia Police are investigating after a man and a woman were injured in a home invasion that took place in the Point Breeze section of Philadelphia. Officials say that three men in black ski masks and black clothing forced their way inside of a home on the 2100 block of Oakford Street at around 6:15 am on Sunday. The suspects assaulted a 35-year-old disabled man, hitting him in the back of the head with a gun. The suspects also shot a 31-year-old woman in the knee. Both were taken... Read More

A charred body was discovered on top of a SEPTA Regional Rail car this morning in Center City. The body was first seen about 7:50 a.m. as the inbound Chestnut Hill East train entered Jefferson Station. Police say the body is a male in his late teens. He suffered severe burns all over his body including his clothing. Investigators are trying to determine when, where, and how the body got on the train as well as an identification of the victim. Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a deadly triple shooting. The shooting took place on the 2000 block of 66th Street in Southwest Philadelphia on Wednesday night. Police say that a 27-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed. A 26-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were also shot and are recovering at a local hospital. There is no word on a motive for the shooting as of yet.

The Philadelphia Parking Authority has announced that metered parking through the city will be free starting this Saturday November 25th and will continue to be free every Saturday after 11 am until the end of the year. Mayor Kenney stated that the city wants to compete with the major malls around the area (King of Prussia, Deptford and Neshaminy) that offer free parking to their customers. A New Jersey woman has helped raise over $39,000 for a homeless man in Philadelphia who bought her gas with his last $20. Last month, Katie McClure of Florence Township ran out of gas on I-95 on her way into the city to visit a friend. "Johnny" saw her predicament and told her to stay in the car. He brought back a can of gas he purchased with his money so that Katie could be on her way. She didn't have any cash and was determined to repay him. She started by giving him the money as well... The remains of two missing residents from the West Chester senior living home fire that took place last week, have been recovered in the wreckage. The fire broke out at the Barclay Friends Senior Living Community last Thursday, which resulted in injuring over two dozen people and displacing 133 residents. A suspect is now in custody after a police standoff this afternoon in Newark, DE. New Castle County police were called to a home on the unit block Lawrence Avenue to perform a welfare check around 1 p.m. When officers arrived, a shot was fired at them from inside the home. Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan announced today that four people remain unaccounted for following Thursday's massive fire at the Barclay Friends Senior Living Community in West Chester. He said that those four are presumed dead.
