A porch pirate accused of dressing like an Amazon delivery driver to steal packages from homes in Fishtown has been arrested. The man was caught on surveillance video stealing the packages from neighbors' doorsteps on the 1300 block of East Oxford Street and riding away on a bicycle. If you find yourself the victim of package theft, make sure you report it to both the police department and to Amazon for refund or replacement. Pennsylvania To Lift All COVID-19 Mitigation Restrictions, Except Masks, on Memorial Day, May 31

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced on Tuesday, 5/4, that all coronavirus COVID-19 mitigation restrictions will be lifted on Memorial Day, May 31. The only exception is the order to wear masks while in public. The mask mandate will be lifted once 70% of Pennsylvanians ages 18 and older are fully vaccinated. According to the CDC, fully vaccinated people do not have to wear a mask outdoors in uncrowded areas, but still need to wear a mask inside public places and in crowded outdoor settings.... New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced on Monday, 5/3, that the state will be easing some capacity restrictions later this month. All of the new guidelines will still require people to maintain social distancing and wear masks. On May 7, patrons will be allowed to sit at the bar. Buffets will be allowed to reopen as well. Pennsylvania's 'Move Over' law goes into effect Tuesday, April 27. Motorists are now required to move over to the left-most lane or slow down when passing a vehicle stopped on the side of the road. This includes EMS, police, fire, tow trucks, construction crews, and others with flashing lights, plus regular disabled vehicles that have the proper indicators. For indoor catered events like proms and weddings as well as funerals, memorial services, political events, performances, etc. the indoor capacity will increase to 50% or 250 maximum.
