Video of PES Refinery Leak and Explosion; Sizzler Rides Shutdown in NJ; Fake Nurse Arrested

Officials have released video from inside the PES refinery in South Philadelphia just before it exploded on June 21. A ground-hugging cloud of hydrofluoric acid can be seen creeping along before catching fire. The U.S. Chemical Safety Board found that an elbow in a pipeline hadn't been replaced in decades and the thickness of that pipe had degraded well below replacement levels. A 7-year-old girl was struck by a car after getting off of the school bus in Springfield, Delaware County, on Wednesday afternoon, 10/16. It happened around 3:40 p.m. on the 400 block of E. Woodland Avenue. Jayzlin Yeboah, a Sabold Elementary School second grade student, was transported to Crozer Chester Hospital in critical condition. A 10-year-old girl was killed after being thrown from an amusement ride at a fair in South Jersey on Saturday evening, 10/12. It happened around 6:15 p.m. at the 41st Deerfield Township Harvest Festival. The girl was on a Wisdom Super Sizzler ride called "Xtreme." Police went to serve a homicide warrant around 6:30 a.m. at an abandoned home on the 3100 block of Weymouth Street.
