Philadelphia Police are asking the public's help in finding three suspects wanted in an armed robbery in the city's Olney neighborhood on Thursday, 10/3. It happened around 11:40 a.m. at Universal Graphics on the 5900 block of North 5th Street. It was caught on store surveillance cameras. The New Jersey man accused of scamming GoFundMe donors of more than $400,000 with a feel good story about a homeless man now faces federal charges. Mark D'Amico is now accused of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering. Those are federal crimes. He has already plead not guilty to state charges of fraud and money laundering. Atlantic City Mayor Frank Gilliam resigned today, 10/3, effective immediately after pleading guilty in federal court in Camden this morning on wire fraud charges. 49-year-old Gilliam admitted that he stole over $87,000 in donations from a youth nonprofit basketball club he helped form called the Atlantic City Starz from 2013-2018. Haverford Township police are looking to identify man who allegedly attempted to lure a 14-year-old boy into a vehicle last month. It happened around 8 pm on September 16th near the corner of Friendship Road and Pilgrim Lane. The boy told authorities that a dark colored minivan with a white stripe pulled up. The first death associated with vaping in New Jersey was announced by officials on Tuesday, 10/1. The death of the adult female from North Jersey actually occurred in August. The New Jersey Department of Health says that the number of confirmed and probable cases of serious lung disease is 14. There are also 32 reports of severe lung illness still under investigation. Those affected are between 15 and 51 years of age.

A Philadelphia police officer was arrested on Friday, 9/27, on sexual assault charges. 28-year-old Novice Sloan, aka Nayeeb Griffin, was charged with sex assault, indecent assault, and simple assault. The incident occurred on August 8th at his home on the 600 block of East Comly Street in Northeast Philadelphia. Sloan met a 21-year-old woman while on duty. Two Chester County parents have been arrested after their 11-month-old son overdosed on heroin while the pair were high and asleep in a car. A relative found the trio inside their car parked behind their home on Wednesday night, 9/25, on Limestone Road in West Fallowfield Township.
