A gunman was shot and two female hostages were freed by SWAT following a hostage situation at a UPS facility in Gloucester County, NJ, on Monday morning, 1/14. It started around 8:30 a.m. when the suspect entered the facility in Logan Township on the 200 block of Birch Creek Road. The suspect, identified by his family as William Owens of Sicklerville, came to the facility looking for his ex-girlfriend. He fired shots early on, but no one was injured. Philadelphia Police are searching for a man wanted for an attempted luring at a Germantown elementary school. It happened on Tuesday, 1/8, at Mastery Charter John Wister Elementary. The man tried to sign out two children, an 8-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl, by name. When school staff asked for ID, the man left. The children and the parents do not know who the man is. It happened around 2:30 p.m. at John Barry Elementary School on the 5900 block of Race Street. A 12-year-old girl stabbed an 11-year-old boy in the head with scissors. A 3-year-old boy was seriously injured on Wednesday, 1/9, when the vehicle he was traveling in was involved in a crash on I-95 with police officers and a fleeing suspect. A manhunt is underway in South Philadelphia for a suspect that was involved in several crashes and fleeing from police this morning, 1/9. 20-year-old Dejuan Robinson is also a person-of-interest in several homicides in Delaware. A man in Camden County was arrested and charged with distribution of child pornography on Tuesday, 1/8. Detectives from the High-Tech Crimes Unit (HTCU) of the Camden County Prosecutor's Office executed a search warrant at a residence on 3rd Street off of the Black Horse Pike in Runnemede. 46-year-old James Merna was charged with Distribution of Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography. The man accused of killing a Temple University student in 2017 and disposing of her body in the mountains pled guilty to several counts as his trial began on Tuesday, 1/8. 30-year-old Joshua Hupperterz is on trial for the murder of 22-year-old Jenna Burleigh in August 2017. A shirtless man was buzzed into a Delaware County grade school carrying a hand gun and a bag of drugs. Darby Borough Police Chief Robert Smythe says that 21-year-old Nazher Sabree was let into Park Lane School in Darby Borough around 9 a.m. on Friday, 1/4. He said he was looking for a misplaced bag.
