Philadelphia police have identified the female bicyclist killed yesterday in a crash involving a trash truck in Center City. 24-year-old Emily Fredericks was riding along Spruce Street near 11th Street and collided with a private sanitation truck turning right onto 11th Street about 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Two men have been charged in a human trafficking case that Pennsylvania's attorney general is calling "horrible." 34-year-old Kenneth James Cromwell and 50-year-old Barry Charles Schiff have been charged with trafficking individuals, involuntary servitude, prostitution as well as other services. The men are accused of forcing 6 women into prostitution in New Jersey and Pennsylvania since 2014. The women were persuaded into prostitution either by promise of opioids or by death threats.... The Pennsylvania Superior Court has denied an emergency motion filed by Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill's legal team to have him released from state prison in Chester on bond. Mill was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison earlier this month following several probation violations. The Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus contended that Common Pleas Court Judge Genece Brinkley has not yet responded to several post-sentencing motions including one on bail and another asking for her recusal. Street Road in Trevose, Bucks County was shut down for a period of time on Monday night after an accident involving two pedestrians. The incident took place just after 8 pm on the 4900 block of East Street Road. Police say that the driver, who then fled the scene, struck the two pedestrians. The victims were taken to Aria-Torresdale Hospital but their condition is not known at this time. Police are continuing to investigate the crash and search for the driver.

Imprisoned Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill received a visit today from a famous civil rights activist. Rev. Al Sharpton visited Mill, aka Robert Rihmeek Williams, at Chester State Correctional Facility this afternoon. Sharpton heads the National Action Network which pushes for criminal justice reform. Philadelphia Police are investigating after a man and a woman were injured in a home invasion that took place in the Point Breeze section of Philadelphia. Officials say that three men in black ski masks and black clothing forced their way inside of a home on the 2100 block of Oakford Street at around 6:15 am on Sunday. A charred body was discovered on top of a SEPTA Regional Rail car this morning in Center City. The body was first seen about 7:50 a.m. as the inbound Chestnut Hill East train entered Jefferson Station. Police say the body is a male in his late teens. He suffered severe burns all over his body including his clothing. Investigators are trying to determine when, where, and how the body got on the train as well as an identification of the victim. Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a deadly triple shooting. The shooting took place on the 2000 block of 66th Street in Southwest Philadelphia on Wednesday night. Police say that a 27-year-old man was shot multiple times and killed. A 26-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were also shot and are recovering at a local hospital. There is no word on a motive for the shooting as of yet.

The Philadelphia Parking Authority has announced that metered parking through the city will be free starting this Saturday November 25th and will continue to be free every Saturday after 11 am until the end of the year. Mayor Kenney stated that the city wants to compete with the major malls around the area (King of Prussia, Deptford and Neshaminy) that offer free parking to their customers.
