Frm. Fire Chief Pleads Guilty; Teen Identified In Shooting; Suspect Arrested In NJ Carjacking

The former fire chief of the Audubon Park Volunteer Fire Company has pleaded guilty to using a computer at the fire station to share child pornography. Investigators found over 1,000 files of child pornography on 46-year-old John Terruso's computer back in June of 2015. Terruso has pleaded guilty to charges of second degree distribution of child pornography and third degree possession of over 100 files of child pornography. Terruso's sentencing is set for late August.

Emergency crews responding to a possible chemical leak in Manayunk on Tuesday evening stubbled upon a potential secret drug laboratory. Police, hazmat unit, bomb squad, and narcotics were all called in to the 200 block of Roxborough Ave. Around 7:30 p.m., an officer was flagged down because of an unusual odor coming from an apartment. Exelon Corp., the owner of Three Mile Island, announced today that it will shut down the nuclear power plant in 2019 without financial help from the state of Pennsylvania. The single-unit plant has been losing money for five years straight and has failed to sell it's capacity into the regional grid at auction. A young giraffe at the Lehigh Valley Zoo died on Sunday after sustaining neck injuries, only days after arriving at the zoo. The 6-year-old Masai giraffe named Ernie was brought to the zoo this past Friday, along with his father Murphy. Officials at the zoo stated that Ernie had become aggressive with his father and they were separated. A New Jersey man is accused of performing a lewd act inside a public library that was witnessed by two girls. It happened around 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23rd, at the Hamilton Township Public Library in Mercer County. 26-year-old Mitchell Richtman of East Windsor was sitting in an aisle between two bookshelves watching a video on his phone. Tiger Woods Arrested for DUI in Florida; Wawa Robbed at Closing Time; Man Stabs Suspect Kensington

Tiger Woods was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence in Jupiter, Florida. The 14-time major champion was pulled over and arrested at around 3 a.m. on Military Trail, south of Indian Creek Parkway. He was taken to Palm Beach County jail and booked for DUI. He was eventually released on his own recognizance. The 41-year-old Woods has not played in months and will miss the rest of the season while he recovers from back surgery.

Two children and their grandmother were killed after a fire broke out in their row home early Sunday morning. Firefighters were called at 4:42 a.m. to the 1700 block of North 6th Street. The grandmother, 52-year-old Monique Guillory, lived in the house with her daughter, daughter's boyfriend, 9-year-old Prudence Figueroa, and 7-year-old Dean Figueroa. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a man and woman were found dead in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia. Police were called to the 1900 block of East Clearfield Street at around 9 a.m. on Sunday. When police arrived they found both victims with gunshot wounds. A teenage boy is being called a hero after rescuing his baby nephew from inside a burning home this morning in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia.
