As the Rolling Stones get set for the first of two shows here in Philadelphia Tuesday night, a local choir was rehearsing for their big part in the production. All 24 members of The Crossing were practicing Monday night, You can't always get what you want. The choir sounds great, even though they do very beautiful, but very complex - what they would call post-modern contemporary music

Chester Vehicle Accident Kills Child, FEMA NJ Flood Maps, U.S. Open at Merion Reviews

One child is dead after two children were struck by a vehicle in Chester this afternoon. The incident happened at W. 9th Street and Highland Avenue. There is no word on the identity of the victim or additional injuries at this time.

The SS United States has been sitting empty on the Delaware River for the last 20 years and is in danger of being sold for scrap. During its years of operation, the SS United States carried more than 1 million passengers between 1952 and 1969. Father's Day on the grounds of Merion Golf Club at the US Open was a special father son event for many, including Michael Weaver. Michael qualified for the Open as an amateur, but made the cut, setting up a dream scenario for him and his father, Bill. Micahel Weaver's father, Bill, got to caddy for him not only on Thursday and Friday, but also through the weekend, including Father’s Day.

The L & I inspector who killed himself after the deadly building collapse left a video message blaming himself for the disaster. NBC10 obtained the message by 52 year old Ronald Wagenhoffer recorded just before he shot himself in the chest. He says, "It was my fault. I should have looked at those guys working and I didn’t. A three-judge panel in New Jersey has dismissed a suit aimed at blocking a special election to fill the seat of the late U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg. Democrats went to court, arguing that the vote should coincide with the November general election, where Governor Chris Christie's re-election now tops the ballot. Christie instead scheduled a primary for August 13Th and a special election for October 16th. The winner in the fall will serve through the end of next year.

NASCAR Jason Leffler Dies in Crash, Collapse Inspector Kills Himself, Haverford Twp Buzzing at Open

NASCAR driver Jason Leffler has died after a crash during a Sprint Car race at Bridgeport Speedway in Swedesboro New Jersey last night. The 37 year old Leffler, nicknamed “LefTurn” a two time NASCAR winner, died in a heat race at the dirt car event. Lefler lost his NASCAR ride and had been racing dirt cars most of this year.

The ten-year-old, critically ill Delaware County girl whose desperate search for a donor lung captured national attention has undergone a successful surgery Wednesday. The family of Sarah Murnaghan of Newtown Square, Pa., says the six-hour lung transplant surgery at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia went smoothly and Sarah did extremely well. Now that Sarah has made it through surgery, her biggest risk for complications will be from rejection and infection.

Fishtown Alligator Found, Murnaghan Lung Transplant, Philadelphia Weather Turning Severe

An 18-inch long alligator was found near a sewer grate in the Fishtown section of the city Monday. Philadelphia's Animal Care and Control Team says police brought the animal to them. The alligator was docile until a man tried to get a closer look. That's when the hissing began. The gator will remain with Animal Control until a permanent home is found.

Child Dies After Fall From Window, Video at Rec Centers, Wall Collapse on South Street

A child is dead after a fall from a window in West Philadelphia yesterday. It happened at an apartment complex in the Powelton section. A 22 month old boy was playing with his 3 year old sister while their mother was in another room. After the fall from the fifth story window, the child was rushed to Children’s Hospital and later pronounced dead.
