The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland has announced the nominees for the 2020 induction class. This year's ballot includes first time nominees Dave Matthews Band, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Motörhead, The Notorious B.I.G., Pat Benatar, Soundgarden, T. Rex, and Thin Lizzy. The other nominees are Depeche Mode, Judas Priest, Kraftwerk, MC5, Nine Inch Nails, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, and Philly's own Todd Rundgren. American Tourists Died of Natural Causes in DR; Body Found on I-95S; Death Threats to Both Families

FBI toxicology tests have determined that three Americans that died in the Dominican Republic this past spring while on vacation died of natural causes. 41-year-old Miranda Schaup-Werner of Whitehall Township, PA, died in May at the Grand Bahia Principe in La Romana. She suffered a heart attack, pulmonary edema, and respiratory failure. 63-year-old Nathaniel Holmes and his wife 49-year-old Cynthia Day of Maryland died days later at the same resort. A Philadelphia jury found 22-year-old Michael White not guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of 37-year-old Sean Schellenger. He was found guilty of tampering with evidence and was acquitted of weapons and obstruction charges. White's mother, Juanita White, said that she was "thankful" and "happy." Video of PES Refinery Leak and Explosion; Sizzler Rides Shutdown in NJ; Fake Nurse Arrested

Officials have released video from inside the PES refinery in South Philadelphia just before it exploded on June 21. A ground-hugging cloud of hydrofluoric acid can be seen creeping along before catching fire. The U.S. Chemical Safety Board found that an elbow in a pipeline hadn't been replaced in decades and the thickness of that pipe had degraded well below replacement levels. That is the likely cause of the gas leak.

A 7-year-old girl was struck by a car after getting off of the school bus in Springfield, Delaware County, on Wednesday afternoon, 10/16. It happened around 3:40 p.m. on the 400 block of E. Woodland Avenue. Jayzlin Yeboah, a Sabold Elementary School second grade student, was transported to Crozer Chester Hospital in critical condition. The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office has released a sketch of a person who is a possible witness in the disappearance of 5-year-old Dulce Maria Alavez. Dulce went missing from Bridgeton City Park just before 5 p.m. on September 16th. This person is reported to have been with one or two children under the age of 5. A 10-year-old girl was killed after being thrown from an amusement ride at a fair in South Jersey on Saturday evening, 10/12. It happened around 6:15 p.m. at the 41st Deerfield Township Harvest Festival. The girl was on a Wisdom Super Sizzler ride called "Xtreme." She was airlifted to Cooper University Health Care where she was pronounced dead. The festival was open on Sunday for the final day for those who wished to mourn. A Drexel Hill Middle School teacher has been placed on administrative leave after video of her yelling racially-charged comments at a parent following a minor car accident between the two in the school parking lot was shared across social media. The fender bender happened on Thursday morning, 10/10, while the parent was dropping off their child for class.
