The Kelly Center for Music, Arts and Community in Havertown will be hosting a full week of diverse music, arts and cultural events to coincide with Delco Arts Week this Saturday, September 21st to 28th. Shooting at Philadelphia High School Football Game; Drexel/Tower Bid for St. Chris; Chester Shooting

Two people were shot on Friday night, 9/20, at a Philadelphia high school football game in the Tioga-Nicetown section. It happened around 7:40 p.m. at Marcus Foster Memorial Stadium on 1600 Staub Street. It was not clear if the shots happened inside or outside, but police say casings were found outside the stadium. There is now a $35,000 reward for information leading to the girl's whereabouts or identification of the suspect in the disappearance of a 5-year-old girl in South Jersey. The search is now in its fifth day. Dulce Maria Alavez vanished from the Bridgeton City Park in Bridgeton, Cumberland County, sometime before 5 p.m. on Monday, 9/16. Fashion District Philadelphia opened on Thursday morning, 9/19, after four years of construction on the site of the former Gallery at Market East. The main entrance to the mall is at 9th and Market but there are also 20 other places to enter. It spans 3 blocks and is is 800,000 square feet. 4,500 jobs were created, half of them temporary construction jobs, the rest are permanent retail. The family of murdered Temple University student Jenna Burleigh has filed a lawsuit against her killer and the Philadelphia bar where the two met. Burleigh met 31-year-old Joshua Huppeterz at the popular Pub Webb just off the campus of Temple in August of 2017. Surveillance video showed the two leaving together from the Cecil B Moore Ave establishment. They headed back to his apartment nearby on 16th Street where she was killed. An Amber Alert has now been issued for 5-year-old Dulce Maria Alavez who went missing from a park in Bridgeton, NJ, on Monday, 9/16. She vanished sometime before 5 p.m. from Bridgeton City Park. She was last seen by her mother playing on the playground with her 3-year-old brother. A $15,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of three suspects wanted for armed robberies at Wawa stores in Drexel Hill and Wayne. Upper Darby Police, Radnor Police, and Wawa announced the reward on Monday, 9/16. Both robberies were caught on store surveillance video (see below).
