Man Killed By Train In Delco; Escaped Prisoner From Temple Hospital; J.B. Elem Still Closed For Mold

Officials in Delaware County are now investigating a deadly train accident that took place in Norwood. The incident took place at around 4:30 pm on Thursday on the unit block of West Winona Street. Officials have stated that a pedestrian was struck and killed by an oncoming Amtrak train. SEPTA had to suspend service on the Wilmington Line while police investigated the scene. Service has since resumed on the line, but police are continuing an investigation.

A Northeast Philadelphia man who went missing from Bucks County earlier this summer was found safe on Thursday when he walked into a New York City hospital in a state of confusion. On June 1st, 22-year-old Timothy Ceaser walked away from his mother's vehicle at a 7-Eleven on Rt. 13 in Croydon, Bristol Township. He had not been heard from since. Philadelphia Police are investigating a deadly shooting after a man was shot while sitting in his car in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Officers responded to the call at around 5 pm to find a man in his late 20s in a car with multiple gun shot wounds. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Police are continuing to search for the suspect or suspects responsible.

The chairman of Radnor Township's Board of Directors has been arrested on child pornography charges. The Delaware County District Attorney's office announced that 66-year-old Philip Ahr is charged with child pornography possession and child pornography dissemination, sexual abuse of children, and criminal use of communication facility. Detectives in Berks County are investigating after the body of a young woman was found in the woods off a rural road on Sunday night. 23-year-old Madison Walb of Reading was found by Lower Heidelberg Township police off Riegel Road. An autopsy on Monday ruled the death a homicide, but the cause of death has not yet been determined pending a toxicology report. Police believe she was killed elsewhere and dumped at that location. The incident took place on the 8000 block of Pine Road at around 4:30 a.m. Police say that the woman was struck by a silver Chevy Malibu while she was crossing the street.
